GUIDING THE HEART AND SOUL.

GUIDING THE HEART AND SOUL

BISMILLAHIR RAHMANIR RAHEEM

IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, THE MOST GRACIOUS AND COMPASSIONATE, THE MOST MERCIFUL

Eternal praises and thanks are due to Allah Ta-‘ala, our Gracious Lord, The Creator, and Originator of the universe and as well it’s Sustainer. We express our deepest and profound gratitude to Him for granting us the honor of being among the Umma of Muhammad Musthapha , hailed as the most beloved of Allah and thus the seal and crown of all Prophets. Eternal peace and greetings are upon our Noble Muhammad Musthapha , the glittering star, whose unique character has shed an unfading light of guidance and truth to a world densely clouded by the ignorance of its own entities. The peace and salutations are extended to the long chain of companions and successors, right from Abuubakar down to the later. The extension should thus also encompass his household and on the entire humanity endeavoring on the path of perpetual bliss, Amin.

The heart and the soul are two things that are used simultaneously, but in effect, are harmonized under a common meaning. The common aim pervading these concepts that comprise also the gist of Sufiism training, is to guide the heart to peace and tranquility by virtue of shackling the insidious desires of the self; necessary to forsaken the worldly pleasures and developing the inner capacity for the spiritual, which in turn is the articulation of qalb’us-Salim, a heart of purity, imperative to become a true servant of the Real; Al-Haq.
Allah Ta-‘ala created mankind in a most perfect way beyond compare, as in the words of the Qur’an: “And indeed we created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a nuthfa (mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of woman). Then We made the nuthfa into a clot, then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then brought it forth as another creation. So Blessed is Allah, The Best of Creators.[1]

Then Allah in His Divine contrivance coordinated the whole body of a man with an organ liable to its destruction, which is the heart. Allah Ta’ala mentioned the heart in the Noble Qur’an 123 times. It is in fact, not just mere speculation that Allah mentioned the heart to this quantum; Allah is making emphasis on the need to free the heart from its malice and malpractices, the hazardous and inexplicable behaviors. Allah blesses this reader as he/she considers what the Merciful and Compassionate Musthapha said: “There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoiled the whole body gets spoiled – and that is the heart.”[2]This is proving beyond reasonable contemplation and doubt that; the heart draws a remarkable dichotomy between the successful and unsuccessful ones in the Divine scene.

Respected one! As Allah, Glory unto Him empowered our hearts to be the objects of our own destruction, there is all reason to guide our hearts and thus free ourselves from its puzzlement. We should be able to control the secret subterranean desires of our hearts by bringing to a close memory that; the world is just a passing stage, and the burden of office is greater than its privileges, Subhanallah! It is thus imperative when we bring ourselves to the bottom of comprehension, as we have always sought wisdom but was misguided by following our own desires. May Allah guides our hearts, Amin.
